BSG is awesome - apart from the boxing ring episode in S3, which is beyond dire. It deals with some excellent issues, but does suffer from typical US-centricism (things like the poltical system on Caprica being identical to that of the USA).
A few people have recommended Dexter to me, so it's on the radar, if not exactly in Castle Fox.
