Yes, the parking issue was the main driver for a lot of the residents' involvement. The other major driver was the organisation of childrens' activities over the summer holidays, but that's been taken over by a different body (now that we've got the FA sponsored all-weather pitch). So without those things, and with the presence of the Wyke Area Committee that also supposedly represents residents, justification for DARA itself seems pretty thin, to me.
