Ah well...it was still a fun watch

aome brought my attention to the fact that the Megawoosh vid that I linked to on Friday is a fake.

Which doesn't detract from the awesomeness of the spectacle as a piece of entertainment, and certainly assuages a large number of the 'but what if it had gone wrong?' questions that leapt to mind on viewing.

Been a quiet Sunday - just finished reading Merlin: The Truth Behind the Legend by Adam Ardrey. To be honest, this probably wasn't the best book for me to read, since I don't even know the legend(s) surrounding Arthur/Merlin and all that lot, and the book itself concentrates just on historical documentation of Merlin, Mungo and Languoreth (Merlin's twin sister). Notable for placing these people in the Strathclyde region of Scotland, rather than Cornwall, Wales or Southern England, as is more usual, as I understand things. But overall, not terribly gripping, and it was a struggle to finish it.

I managed to stay away from work today - I'm hoping that I don't end up regretting this by Wednesday, when I've got the auditors coming to see me for a walk-through of the data that they requested on Friday, and that I've only half assembled. Could be a busy week, then, but I just felt too... run down to face heading into the office this afternoon.
