Well, currently I'm officially editing The Third Key, to transmogrify it into TTK:Reloaded. I took it down waaaaaaaaaaaaay back in 2005 (remember the fuss that caused?), meaning to address the typos, bad grammar and some of the plot inconsistencies.
But, um, I only actually got around to The Edit when P started reading, and pointing out some of the errors. And then I read the fic, and thought - in a hopefully rare Lockhart Moment - 'y'know what, this fic isn't that bad', and decided that it was worth putting back into the webosphere.
Especially since there are still several copies of the original fic percolating round the interwebs (I even found a .pdf of it), and if it's going to be read, I'd much rather it was a version that I was comfortable with.
All the above said, yes, I'm hoping to start writing a new, fifth-year, obviously AU fic. Still at the planning stage atm: I've drawn up a calendar of the school year, checked the lunar calendar for 95/96... and the West Ham football scores. The Quidditch season's mapped out, and I know which specific dates the Hogsmeade weekends fall on.
I have, ironically enough, the final battle pretty sorted in my head, and two definite themes to play with (the third has had to be dropped because it would directly contradict the mechanics of my central plot ruse). I've also got a reasonable start to the school year, but I need to get from A (well, actually B, because the summer itself is looking a little vague) to D (the ending) by working out what C is, and what they're all going to do when they get there.
I re-read CoS last week, and PoA this weekend just gone. GoF is sitting on the table as I type, and obviously it's next.
