I thought they might be 'gators. Whatever, were I in that situation, I don't think I'd be moving to the side of the road, no matter what vehicular contraption was coming at me.

Can't 'gators and crocs manage sustained short sprints, though, across, say, the width of a hypothetical road? Not, I feel, a place that I'd be itching to include on a bike route...
