Given that I'm out all week because, duh, I have a job which is how I'm able to pay for the things I buy, I don't mind the 15 minute trip out to the sorting office or wherever to pick things up.
But York is like 36 miles. Each way. Aside from the time (I'd reckon on an hour each way), the petrol cost would be something like £7 for the round trip, so you can see that the appeal of collection is somewhat less than immediately apparent ;-P
