The Library sell off surplus stock from time to time - at 25p/book, no matter what size/type of book it might be.
Which explains how I managed to pick up two hardback novels this morning, both less than a year old, for the grand sum of 50p... One of them was an Elizabeth George I picked up for ex (she used to like them, but has drifted away from the author late), and the other is Let The Right One In by John Ajvide Lindqvist, which if memory serves was a film recently.
Late entry today, as I've only just got home after watching P's end-of-school-year play, which was about the Pied Piper of Hamelin. Obviously, being a primary school production, the ending was, uh, revised a little, and the children were brought back to life after the mayor eventually honoured his side of the bargain with the Pied Piper.
