I remember my parents telling me that putting the Slip-n-Slide on the garage roof and the kiddie pool in the driveway was likely to result in my death, or worse, a(nother) spanking.
They might have been bluffing... I say you should've called them on it.
Of course, I say that with the insulating safety of half the planet between my advocacy of your plan and any Consequences that might arise through the implementation thereof. But (im)moral support still counts for something, right? ;-P
