Ugh!

I get in to work earlyish, whilst the cleaners are still doing their rounds. This morning, they evidently saw fit to wash the bannisters in the stairwells. So the bannisters were all soaped up, but not properly rinsed, as I ran my hand up them on the ascent to the summit the office.

*shakes hands*

Eek. As a former cleaner-person myself, it was one of my fears that my cleaning process would run afoul of some poor hotel guest's normal use of the facility. Usually it's not a problem, but every once in a while, something like your experience here ocurrs.

Ta - I was more amused than icked, once I'd deduced what the slime was...

...for a while, though, the spectre of it being some kind of ectoplasmic residue did linger...
