Sometimes, the old names are the best

Having become a little disillusioned with Twitter, definitely fallen out of love with LiveJournal, been creeped out by Facebook and not gone near things like Myspace et al, I was indeed pretty intrigued by DreamWidth when it was first mentioned to me.

Getting back into the swing of posting may take a little while, but I'm going to do my best to stick around.

As I mentioned in the post, I've been a little disillusioned with Twitter - not only the fail whales and the 'over capacity' notices, but also the loss of SMS functionality (when Twitter was fully mobile-phone enabled, it was genius).

I find it ironic, incidentally, that I seem to be picking up more followers (spambots, lamentably) since I stopped tweeting than when I was actively posting there!

Anyway, I'm here on DW now, and I'm hoping to stick around this time :-)
