Sometimes, the old names are the best

Having become a little disillusioned with Twitter, definitely fallen out of love with LiveJournal, been creeped out by Facebook and not gone near things like Myspace et al, I was indeed pretty intrigued by DreamWidth when it was first mentioned to me.

Getting back into the swing of posting may take a little while, but I'm going to do my best to stick around.

Oh yes, I couldn't agree more. I've been so disappointed with LJ lately... and I never really got used to twitter enough to update regularly.

And the great thing about DW is that I can cross-post effortlessly to LJ, so the part of the friends-list who remains there can still communicate with me :) That's... really cool :)

Yep, I've been fine - just dropped off LJ for the aforementioned reasons, and found Twitter nowhere near as much fun once they pulled SMS functionality from those of us in this green and pleasant land.

Haven't looked into the cross-posting functionality myself - am content just to work with the community that's on DW, at least for now :-)
