It didn't help that our network connection got chopped mid-afternoon, but today's been a bit of a mad scramble.
I'm supposed to be on leave tomorrow, but it's looking like I'm going to have to pop in at least briefly in the morning to fix some import issues that I haven't been able to resolve today.
I managed to watch Flash Forward ep 4 the other night - that was the episode with 'Ned' Ned, and where Olivia's discovering that ignoring the information from Flash Forwards isn't really helping. Also, she can't palm Dylan's care off onto another department, which means that she's going to have to continue to liaise with Lloyd, which she's trying to avoid for plot reasons.
Nicole makes a return - she vanished after the first ep, but she's back looking after Mark and Olivia's daughter once more, but was clearly disturbed by her Flash Forward. I'm wondering if Mark and Nicole end up having an affair, which is how Lloyd and Olivia strike up whatever relationship they might have.
I'm also wondering if Dead Man Walking Demetri and (cute) Janis get it on in such a fashion that it's his baby that Janis is having the ultrasound on in her Flash Forward.
Mark and Demetri go off on another flash forward-inspired wild goose chase - most notable for being amidst a trailer park, with some Louis Armstrong style trumpeter providing accompaniment that keyed into the soundtrack.
Overall, though, it was a kinda drab episode. I missed FF3, because the flash playback from demand.five.tv was too stuttery to be watchable. I do have in my possession, however, FF5 - the possibility of future eps also being made available to me very much depends on whether my source remains sufficiently enthused to persist DVR'ing it for me - apparently, after FF5, that's very much in question. But I'll see what I make of it.

Date: 2009-10-28 05:51 pm (UTC)Hopefully you won't have to break your leave tomorrow - you seem to cover okay for others when they're off, so I'd think they could cover for you in return. But if it happens, I hope it's only a brief excursion so that you can enjoy your time with your son.

Date: 2009-10-28 06:00 pm (UTC)I saw FF4 just last night so it's fresh in my mind. It's certainly veering away from 'vast potential' towards 'rather average' but I still planning and catching FF5 at the weekend. The call at the end to Lloyd shows some hope of intrigue at least.
PS Love the Demetri/Janis idea.
