It's in my library queue. Just finished reading the three before that, all because you posted about them. Just when I thought every book was going to be a new sex partner for Sookie, the author pleasantly surprised me.
Yeah, I did wonder at first whether it was going to be Sookie/NewMaleHunk in each new instalment, but to be fair to Harris, she does end up building up a nicely ambiguous set of contrasting possibilities for Sookie - Eric or Bill or Sam? (Quinn really doesn't count). And this latest instalment is firmly in keeping with the pendulum's momentum as it's been set in motion from about book 4.
I wasn't kidding about the bloodbath - a lot of people die in Dead and Gone, and certain things about the book did disappoint me (I'm being deliberately non-specific since you've not yet read it)... but overall it was Sookie, so I'm always going to like it, even if some characters get written in and written out in seemingly arbitrary fashion.
