The Grauniad is asking readers to vote for the best TV show of the decade.

There are some awfully good nominations therein, but in the end I picked The West Wing. I am somewhat surprised, then, to see that Top Gear currently has the lead.

You don't need to register with the Grauniad - presumably they're using cookies or something to keep track of voters - unless you want to join in with the comments.

Firefly... West Wing... Firefly is gooooooooooood, very, very good. But it's only one season *sad face* West Wing is excellent, and seven seasons of goodness to boot.

Nine series versus almost one, intellectual prowess versus plain old common sense, politically educational versus entertainment ... using rational logic I could be convinced that West Wing is superior, but based on gut emotion I love Firefly, the characterisations, the 'verse, the moral ambiguities, the crew. It is an irrational love but it's mine, and my subjective best.
