'tis the season for re-reading, evidently

I started my re-read of The Reality Dysfunction yesterday - it must be at least 12 years since I first read it, so I'd forgotten lots, but OTOH am slightly reassured that other aspects were more or less as I remembered.

Joshua 'Lagrange' Calvert is still something of a Gary-Stu, though...

And Ione still rocks.

Have you started/finished The Neutronium Alchemist yet?

Yup, finished The Naked God too. I can entirely understand why you say you enjoyed 2 and half of the trilogy. What a way to tie up all the loose ends.

Are you going to re-read all the books too? If so I'll wait until you finish each book before making detailed comments.

I'm certainly going to re-read the 2½ books... whether I finish TNG very much depends on how much of the ending I feel up to stomaching...

Because these books are kinda long, I may do some intermediate posts on them. But not chapter by chapter stuff like OotP, because that would be... immoderate of me, and obviously I'm not like that. Ever. Much.
